Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she received an Emmy Award. Her other credits include her role on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. She was born as the only child to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney had a family of four brothers. The idea of being a reporter for the court in childhood but started modelling while in high school and eventually gaining commercials after moving to New York. In 1981, she appeared as an innocent teenager in the film All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress from the 1980s has appeared in several films TV movies and dramas. Delaney has not lived a successful or happy personal life. The talented actress struggled to overcome addiction to alcohol, and was married twice only to that failed. In 2005, the actress was denied custody over her one son.
